This was a fun job with a bit of a twist, the brief was to create something fun, vibrant, youthful... etc, that told the story of people and place in Upper Hutt, but must incorporate the existing Library pink Books/Hills graphic, 'Pūrehurehu’ is the name for this vehicle. Literally referring to a Cirrus cloud, or mist lying in small detached portions, I've used this as the starting point to the art work, as a dreamscape of sorts rolling over the hills, I also wanted the artwork to contrast and compliment the existing graphics, so it speaks of something new & exciting rolling in...
